Toxic workplace: a lesson or mistake!

First and foremost, I truly believe that no job is a mistake; it's the workplace, always the workplace, that determines its worth.

This is not a rant, but an eye opener for many. You ask how?

Let's go for it, with this fast-paced generation comes hustle culture, every other person nowadays is hustling you go anywhere you hustle! Some work two jobs, some build their own business, and some are stuck in the same place for many years.

If you want to understand human nature and how vicious or sweet people can be then HR is for you, however, it would not be wrong to say that HR is not merely for understanding people but it is also sales! Yeah HR especially recruiting or hiring is sales.

I learned the bitter truth when my senior told me that you are also a salesperson for the company, you are selling the company's environment, and then yeah I accepted the truth and went ahead anyway.

Now when you think you know quite a lot of things because you have already talked to so many people.
Life tests you and throws you in a dump you never thought you would end up in.

You understood that people leaving the company has nothing to do with you it is merely the salary or some internal management of the company or something that you cannot understand about the employees and that is fine completely fine. Maybe there is something about the company that does not align with their thought.

Now that we have the background story let us cover the main aspect that when you are in a job that involves money you sort of are directly responsible for the revenue of the company.

The majority of the company that you work for is sometimes gracious enough to let you go with mistakes but some are the worst.

Now pace yourselves today I bring to you the best of toxic workplace stories (worst for individuals as an HR).

Now, before you all pounder all your hate on HRs out there please understand that HRs are also employees of the company they are not torturing you they are just doing their duties.

This very snippet consists of three stories:

During my tenure I connected and got to know a lot of people : one was in their twentys the second were just restarting their career and third were very experienced in their work.
Still who can guarantee a perfect work place?A perfect work environment?

When the first person was hired they were hired because of their expertise in different field, the company made them do all these extra curricular not related to their field and then merely after three weeks the company started pressurising them to change their domain.
Kept questioning their abilities and then finally when the person got tired of what they were asking for, they had to quit. The employee put their resignation and then quit the job.

When the second person were hired they were restarting their career after seven long years. When they joined in they expected to be collaborative with everyone, but the co-workers made fun of them, did not consider them a part of team, they had to endure everything alone. Still they made it to the end after enduring all of these they were able to do what they love and what they deserve, an equal respect but this time not at the same work place but at other workplace.

When the third person was hired despite having ten years of experience were underpaid because of their sweet and kind nature. The company were very sweet to them in the face but then made them do overtime without paying, the founders kept talking about them behind closed doors, gave them unrealistic time limit. They did not understand it and are still were working for the same company. But over the period of time they realise what they have lost over the period of time.

Reflections:
No matter where you go it is going to be difficult whether you are amongst the first person the second person or the third person.
You just have to ask yourself do you want this story to be part of your hustle? Do you want to endure whatever you are, for the thing that you are currently doing?
Do you want to make the trouble a part of your story? If you are fighting for something is it worth it?
I know there are lot many things we have to consider and if you are lucky enough to pick your struggles, pick a right one!
It is not important to lose your self respect in order to grow professionally :)
